She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and holds an LL.M in International Trade Law from the University of Nairobi. Ann is a Certified Secretary, Certified Legal Auditor, is certified in Tax and Customs Administration, and is pursuing CPA qualifications.
She has contributed to global tax research as a correspondent for IBFD (Netherlands), is a Scientific Committee Member of the African Tax Research Network (ATRN), and has been a mentor with the African Women in Tax Network (AWITN). Her work experience includes service with the Tax Appeals Tribunal, Kenya Revenue Authority, Kenya School of Revenue Administration, Kenya School of Law, and Muthaura, Mugambi, Ayugi & Njonjo (MMAN) Advocates.
